TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded school in Bournemouth to recruit a reliable and proactive School Caretaker for a January 2026 start.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or site supervisor who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented school environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

The Role
  • Day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school site and buildings
  • Opening and closing the premises as required
  • Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Managing site security, including alarms and access
  • Supporting with setting up rooms and facilities for school events
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous caretaking, maintenance, or site management experience (school-based experience desirable)
  • Practical DIY and maintenance skills
  • A strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
  • Good communication and organisational skills
