Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Identify and treat damp and mould in properties.
  • Remove waste, including fly-tipped items.
  • Clean gutters using extendable vacuum systems.
  • Collaborate with other Estates teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain tools and equipment properly.
  • Manage work tasks via smartphone.

Skills

Knowledge of cleaning and caretaking

Confident and competent use of grounds machinery
Ability to update computerised systems
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Practical experience of risk assessments
Full valid UK driving licence
Job description
The role of Mobile Caretakerwill include :
  • Damp and mould treatment in properties; this includes identifying, treating and then redecorating the affected area
  • Waste removal from across all our sites, generally this will be fly tipped waste but may include emptying void properties
  • Gutter cleaning using an extendable vacuum system so all work is carried out from ground level
  • Working with other Estates teams where needed
  • Ensuring Health and Safety protocols are followed
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures
  • Using a smart phone to manage work and receive and record work tasks
Skills and experiences :
  • Knowledge of cleaning and caretaking, and an understanding of COSHH and Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of how to use grounds machinery confidently and competently
  • Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Practical experience of carrying out risk assessments
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
