Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant at Astbury Mere Care Home, Newcastle Road, Astbury, Congleton. This role offers 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 8pm to 8am and alternate weekends, to support residents' physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. We welcome both new and experienced applicants.

You will receive full training and ongoing development from our Learning & Development team. DBS check and right to work in the United Kingdom are required.

Responsibilities

• Respect each resident as an individual and tailor care to their needs according to care plans.
• Support residents with daily living activities including washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote dignity and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure access to food and refreshments.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families with kindness and empathy.

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
