Job summary

Southern Housing is recruiting bank care and support workers to join its dedicated teams across the Isle of Wight on a bank basis. You will support residents according to their person-centred plans, promoting independence, dignity and inclusion.

Role involves intimate personal care where required; a driving licence and access to a vehicle are needed to cover island schemes. Prior care experience is welcome but not essential as training is provided.

• Working as part of a team.
• Working unsupervised and adapting to different environments.
• Basic IT skills.

The work centres on supporting residents to their person-centred care and support plans, including intimate personal care where the service requires it, keeping risk assessments current and responding to emergencies. Work is spread across several island schemes, and island-wide cover needs a driving licence and access to a vehicle. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as training and support are provided.
