Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of 7 care homes in the West Midlands. You will lead Registered Managers to improve quality, governance, leadership and commercial performance, with a strong clinical background highly valued.

This role requires hands-on leadership, travelling between services, and a focus on sustaining high clinical standards while supporting managers through inspections and performance improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Significant operational leadership experience within the care home sector.
• Experience overseeing multiple care homes or nursing homes.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, governance and quality assurance.
• Experience supporting and developing Registered Managers.
• Understanding of care home commercial and operational KPIs.
• Clinical operations experience within older people’s care, nursing, complex care or neurological services.

Responsibilities

• Take operational responsibility for a portfolio of care homes, working with Registered Managers to improve quality, governance, leadership and commercial performance.
• Develop strong, accountable Registered Managers who are properly supported and challenged.
• Build stability and consistency across the Registered Manager team in the first 6 months.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and support to Home Managers.
• Drive quality improvement and maintain strong CQC standards.
• Support homes through inspections and policy/governance refreshes.
