Bupa is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities professional to oversee health and safety, compliance checks, and timely maintenance in a care home setting. You will manage repairs, coordinate with approved contractors, and ensure cleanliness and safety to meet statutory requirements.

The role requires a driving licence, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, with regional support as needed.

Competenze

• Understanding of building services including heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution and plumbing.
• Maintenance of building fabric and its upkeep.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Computer literate.
• Good customer service skills.

Mansioni

• Ensure health and safety, compliance checks, and timely tasks using Bupa systems.
• Close tasks assigned to Maintenance/Property teams.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness to meet environmental health and safety regs.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard, with value for money and minimal disruption to first impressions.
• Document residents' preferences in their personal spaces.
• Obtain quotes and manage repairs with approved contractors.
• Report irreparable defects to Home Manager or appropriate manager.
• Manage refurbishment and capex programmes with minimal disruption.
• Maintain tools and equipment securely.
• Assist with induction on emergency procedures and evacuation.
• Provide regional maintenance support within a reasonable distance.
