Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Maintenance Operative for Middlesex Manor Care Home. The role focuses on keeping facilities fully functional, performing safety and compliance checks, and carrying out timely building-related maintenance across services and equipment.

The position is Mon-Fri, 35 hours per week, with potential regional maintenance support if required. A full driving licence and relevant qualifications or hands-on experience are desirable, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• A full driving licence is required.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out health and safety and compliance checks using digital systems.
• Address tasks from Maintenance Manager or home in compliance tools.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness to meet Environmental Health and Fire Authority requirements.
• Complete maintenance tasks to a high standard and schedule repairs efficiently.
• Document residents' space preferences and action accordingly.
• Report defects and obtain quotes, managing repairs with approved contractors.
