Bupa is seeking a Maintenance Operative at St Marks Care Home in Maidenhead to maintain buildings and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You will manage repairs, liaise with approved contractors, and support regional maintenance tasks with a focus on first impressions and resident comfort.

The role requires knowledge of building services, practical maintenance experience, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Competenze

• Understanding of building services incl. heating, water, ventilation, electrical distribution and plumbing.
• Knowledge of building fabric maintenance and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
• Full driving licence and ability to operate across multiple sites.

Mansioni

• Carry out maintenance and repairs to a high standard with value for money.
• Conduct health and safety and compliance checks using digital systems.
• Respond to tasks from Maintenance Manager or home and close them promptly.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness meeting EH, Fire Authority and Legionella requirements.
• Assist with induction of new colleagues on emergency procedures and equipment.
• Provide regional maintenance support within a reasonable distance.
