Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Maintenance Operative at St Marks Care Home in Maidenhead to ensure facilities remain fully functional. You will perform building maintenance, safety checks, and manage repairs in a regulated care-home setting, aligning with Bupa SOPs and policies.

The role requires experience in building services and a full driving licence, with potential involvement in regional maintenance tasks and ongoing improvements to resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Understanding of building services: heating, hot/cold water, ventilation, electrical, plumbing.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and equipment to full functionality in line with SOPs and safety standards.
• Perform health, safety and compliance checks using digital systems and management tools.
• Manage defects, quotes and repairs with approved contractors.
• Support refurbishment and capex programmes with minimal disruption to residents.
• Assist with induction of new colleagues and safety procedures.
