Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a Head of Maintenance for one of our care homes near Guildford. You will ensure a clean, safe and well-maintained environment that supports excellent resident care and staff efficiency.

You will lead a small maintenance team, carry out a wide range of tasks, manage planned and reactive works, liaise with contractors, and assist the General Manager with annual budget planning and cost control.

Qualifications

• Hands-on property maintenance experience.
• At least one trade skill.
• Full UK driving licence and IT literacy.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team and oversee on-site work.
• Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks in buildings and gardens.
• Liaise with contractors and support budget planning.
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality of workmanship.
