Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head of Maintenance for one of our care homes. You’ll lead the maintenance team, handle repairs across the building and grounds, and support the General Manager with annual budgets to keep the home safe and welcoming for residents.

You’ll liaise with contractors, prioritise safety, and apply hands-on maintenance skills with reliability and flexible hours. A full UK driving licence and IT literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience with ability to cover a range of trades.
• At least one trade skill and IT literacy.
• Full UK driving licence; GCSEs Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and supervise day-to-day repairs.
• Plan budgets with the General Manager and liaise with contractors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
