Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head of Maintenance at one of our care homes in Ferndown. You will keep the building and grounds clean and well-maintained to create a welcoming, safe environment for residents and staff.

You will lead a small maintenance team, plan budgets with the General Manager, liaise with contractors, and undertake a range of trades. Flexibility, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in property maintenance.
• Able to lead a team and schedule tasks.
• Full UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the care home environment, including gardens.
• Lead the maintenance team and coordinate with contractors.
• Assist with annual budget planning and cost control.
• Ensure safety and compliance across premises.
