Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Head of Maintenance for one of our care homes. You will lead maintenance tasks across building and grounds, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will manage a small team, liaise with contractors, support annual budget planning, and report to the General Manager. A proactive hands-on approach and driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of property maintenance and at least one trade skill.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.
• Full UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance tasks in the care home building and gardens.
• Liaise with contractors for specialist work.
• Support General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Lead a team to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.
