Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a Head of Maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across a Fareham care home. You will lead maintenance activities, manage a small team, and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.

You’ll fix a range of issues from plumbing to grounds upkeep, liaise with contractors, and ensure work respects residents’ needs while delivering reliable service. A full UK driving licence and IT literacy are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of property maintenance.
• At least one trade skill.
• Full UK driving licence and IT literacy.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance tasks across the care home and grounds.
• Manage a maintenance team and support the General Manager with budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors for specialised work.
• Ensure works respect resident needs and safety.
