Job summary

Hales Homecare is seeking a dedicated Home Care Assistant to support vulnerable clients in Peterborough and surrounding areas. You will assist with personal care, meals, medication support, and companionship, while working across weekends as needed.

Applicants require a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle, with a willingness to learn and develop new care skills. DBS checks apply.

• Must be passionate about helping others and deliver high-quality care and support.
• Reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• No experience required; candidates from hospitality, retail, and customer service are welcome.

Home Care Assistant

Based in Peterborough.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour.

Areas covered: Peterborough and Huntingdonshire.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required. Must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support

• No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
