Job summary

Hales Homecare in Peterborough is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support clients at home, primarily on weekends. You will visit clients to assist with daily living tasks and provide companionship, promoting independence and wellbeing.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training and induction are provided; a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required to perform visits safely.

Home Care Assistant - Weekends

Based in Peterborough

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour

Shift: Weekends, 0700 - 1300 and 1300 - 2200

No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Peterborough to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support

What You Will Need

• Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care and support
• A reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
