Job summary

Hales Homecare in Wickford is hiring a Home Care Assistant to support people to live safely and independently at home. No experience needed; full paid training is provided by our Internal Training Team.

Guaran­teed hours (20 hours per week), with shifts 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, travel time paid and mileage reimbursed. You will work across Wickford and surrounding areas and must hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Hales Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in and around Wickford to live independently in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support

Requirements

• Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care and support
• A reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
