We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals who require help with daily activities, personal care, and emotional support. You will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment where our residents can thrive and maintain their independence.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Additionally, you will assist with mobility and transferring. Your companionship and attentive listening skills will also be crucial in providing emotional support and social interaction for our residents.

Our ideal candidate is empathetic, patient, and possesses excellent communication skills. You must have a genuine passion for helping others and be dedicated to ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. Previous experience in a similar healthcare setting or caregiving role is required.

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Assisting with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in conversation, and actively listening to their needs and concerns.
Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents, including regular housekeeping tasks and laundry.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans for residents.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS clearance
Competency based E-learning
Experience working in a UK healthcare setting

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Empathy and compassion towards the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
