Job summary

Agincare Group in Sheffield is seeking dedicated Care Assistants to join their team. You will provide companionship, assist with personal care, and help clients with medications and meals, promoting their independence and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months on their right to work in the UK, must be available for alternate weekends, and have a passion for making a difference. Agincare offers various contracts, fully funded training, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prompt and administer medications.
• Support with meals and healthy eating.
• Perform light cleaning tasks.
• Assist clients with mobility.
• Engage clients in social activities.

What is required from you?

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care – supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks – light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility – Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities – Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
