Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Care Assistant in Bath to provide compassionate, person‑centred care in a residential setting. The role includes supporting with personal care, meals, meds and mobility, while promoting independence and social activity for residents.

The successful candidate will join a growing, family‑owned care provider offering opportunities for career development and funded training up to QCF level 5, plus a range of employee benefits. Flexible patterns and shift options are available.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Full time and part time positions available.
• Shift patterns around school pick-up/drop-off considered.
• Must be flexible to work alternate weekends.
• Shifts include 08:00–14:00, 14:00–20:00 and 08:00–20:00.
• Bank roles available; zero hour contracts when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engagement for residents.
• Support with personal care, bathing, dressing and oral care.
• Assist with medication prompting or administration as needed.
• Support meals and hydration, assist with snacks and drinks.
• Assist with light domestic tasks and mobility support.
• Encourage social activities and outings within the home.

What is required from you?

• Will consider sift patterns around school pick-up/drop-off
• You must be flexible to work alternate weekends
• Shit patterns include - 08:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 20:00 and 8:00 to 20:00
• There are also bank roles available, these are zero hour contracts and you will be required to be flexible to work as and when required

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care -supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication -Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
