Job summary

Agincare Homes Holdings in Bath seeks a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and daily living support in a busy care home.

You will join a team that values companionship, dignity and independence, with flexible shift patterns and pathways to progress through funded training up to QCF level 5.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
• Full time and part time positions available.
• Shift patterns around school pick-up/drop-off.
• Flexible to work alternate weekends.
• Shift patterns include 08:00-14:00, 14:00-20:00, 08:00-20:00.
• Bank roles available (zero hour contracts).

Responsibilities

• Companionship and engagement with residents.
• Personal care including washing, bathing or dressing support.
• Medication prompting, assisting or administering where appropriate.
• Meals support to ensure healthy eating and hydration.
• Domestic tasks and light cleaning around the home.
• Mobility support to help residents remain as independent as possible.
• Involvement in social activities and outings within the home.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Full time and part time positions available
• Will consider shift patterns around school pick-up/drop-off
• You must be flexible to work alternate weekends
• Shift patterns include - 08:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 20:00 and 8:00 to 20:00
• There are also bank roles available, these are zero hour contracts and you will be required to be flexible to work as and when required

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care -supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication -Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
