Job summary

Quantum Care in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join Elm View Care Home, a modern 78-bed facility delivering hotel-style living with personalised care.

You’ll provide personal care, support meals, and assist residents with daily activities, while building trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues. Training and development are ongoing, and weekend and Bank Holiday shifts are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Empathetic individual with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to care for older residents with compassion and respect.
• Flexible to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays for 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a

Care Assistant to join our Hotel Styled Boutique feel Care Home in

Bishop's Stortford, a contemporary luxury 78-bed residential home.

Elm View Care Home is positioned as a modern, purpose-built care home with a strong focus on high-end facilities, hotel-style living, and personalised care.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
