Job summary

Quantum Care’s Elm View Care Home in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our hotel‑styled boutique 78‑bed residence. The role offers full‑time, 35 hours weekly with a shift pattern from 7.30am to 2.30pm or 2.30pm to 9.30pm, including weekends on alternate weeks.

You will lead a designated unit, review care plans, provide personal care and administer medication, while ensuring engaging activities for residents and upholding high standards of dignified care.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is essential.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Significant experience with older people in a residential care setting and passion for delivering outstanding care.

What You’ll Bring

• Essential to hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• Desirable to hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Or willingness to work towards).
• You must have substantial experience of working with older people in a residential care setting and a real passion for leading and delivering outstanding care to our residents.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Taking a leadership role on a designated unit.
• Reviewing and updating care plans.
• Giving personal care to residents.
• Administering medication and ensuring that social activities are provided during each shift
