Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Care Assistant to join Garden City Court Care Home in Letchworth Garden City. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support residents to maintain independence in a 75-bed home.

We offer training, flexible shifts (weekdays and alternate weekends), induction and development opportunities. Applicants should be aged 18+ with empathy and good communication; DBS check and uniform provided in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; empathetic individuals with a positive attitude and good communication skills are welcomed.
• Undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect.
• Induction training and ongoing development opportunities are available.
• Able to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays; 18 years or over.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals and hydration.
• Assist residents with daily activities to promote independence.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Follow individual care plans and work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.

As a

Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.

• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
