Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cardiology Diagnostic Booking Coordinator (Band 3) for a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover. The role delivers front-line patient care, handles enquiries, and books diagnostic appointments within the Cardiology diagnostics service.

You will provide clerical support across the community diagnostics centre and support the physiologists, ensuring accurate administrative processes and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Good general education including at least 5 GCSEs/O levels or equivalent.
• Admin NVQ level.
• Experience of hospital/NHS environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deal with patient enquiries and book diagnostic appointments.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Cardiology diagnostics service.
• Serve as a lead contact for patients regarding complaints and queries with empathy and diplomacy.
