Job summary

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Cardiologist on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave at Maidstone Hospital, with potential cross-site work at Fordcombe and Tunbridge Wells hospitals. The post supports a broad cardiology service, including non-invasive diagnostics, imaging, EP/Devices, heart failure, and rhythm management development.

CCT in any subspecialty is welcome, with a plan of 10 PAs, 8.5 DCC and 1.5 core SPA.

Qualifications

• Audit: understand the principles and participate in audits.
• Research: knowledge of scientific method and literature interpretation.
• Teaching/leadership: contribute to supervision and service development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of care for patients under clinical responsibility.
• Participate in departmental audits and clinical governance.
