Cambridge House in Mayfair offers a Captain/Head Waiter role at Major’s, a signature restaurant blending mid-century glamour with modern luxury. You will lead a dining section, read guests, and collaborate with kitchen and service teams to deliver attentive, personalized experiences.

The role emphasizes exceptional hospitality, menu knowledge, and the ability to elevate service through thoughtful guest engagement and flawless execution.

Competenze

• Previous experience as Captain, Head Waiter, Senior Waiter or similar in luxury hotel or restaurant settings.
• Ability to lead by example, coordinate service and support colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and colleagues.

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, building rapport and reflecting individual preferences.
• Guide guests through the dining experience with informed recommendations on food, wine and beverages.
• Lead service within your section, coordinating timing, presentation and team delivery for a seamless experience.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage special requests and celebrations, and resolve queries with discretion.
• Maintain high standards of table prep, mise en place, presentation, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Support and develop teammates through sharing knowledge, leading by example, and collaborative service.
• Work closely with Culinary, Beverage and Cambridge House teams to ensure clear communication and smooth operations.
• Support Restaurant Management with day-to-day operations and ongoing service improvements.
• Contribute ideas that refine service rituals and the guest experience at Major’s from opening day.
