Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Hotel Operations Manager for a College in Chichester, West Sussex. This role combines front-of-house leadership with residential services across day and night shifts, within a busy campus environment.

You will lead a team, oversee bookings and service standards, and coordinate campus operations to deliver a welcoming, professional experience for students, guests and visitors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in front-of-house, hospitality, accommodation or a similar operational setting.
• Strong management experience.
• Experience managing customer-facing teams across different shifts.
• Strong leadership, organisation and decision-making skills.
• Confidence handling complaints and unexpected situations.
• Excellent communication, IT and administrative skills.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• An understanding of confidentiality, health and safety, safeguarding and security.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk services across daytime, evening and overnight teams.
• Manage staffing, rotas, handovers and service standards.
• Oversee accommodation bookings, arrivals, departures and room access.
• Line manage and develop team members.
• Handle complaints, operational issues and incident escalation.
• Work with other departments to coordinate accommodation and campus services.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve services and customer experiences.
