Job summary

The University of Lancashire is seeking a Control Room Operator to safeguard our campus community. You will monitor CCTV and security systems, respond to enquiries and incidents, and guide colleagues and campus users with clear, helpful information.

Joining our security team, you will work a rotating pattern with 2 x 12-hour days and 2 x 12-hour nights, and you may cover other shifts and campuses as required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English Language and Maths (grade C/4 or higher) or equivalent experiential learning.
• Experience in security or related environments.
• Ability to follow procedures meticulously and work in a customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage CCTV and security systems.
• Respond to enquiries and incidents and provide guidance to colleagues and campus users.
• Liaise with officers across sites to share information and record it accurately.
• Support rotating shift pattern and flexibility to cover other shifts and campuses.
