Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Otterbourne seeks an Emergency Call Taker (Part-time) to support 999 responses. You will handle high-pressure calls with empathy, follow established scripts, and coordinate life-saving responses.

Training starts promptly and progression is available within the NHS framework. Starting pay is £13.17 per hour with uplift for unsocial hours; 18+ requirements and UK right-to-work apply.

Qualifications

• 2 GCSEs (A–C) including English or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or call-centre is advantageous.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and manage high-pressure calls.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive training programme to support you from day one.
• Answer and assist callers during emergencies with calm, clear communication.
• Work on-site at the Emergency Operations Centre in Otterbourne, Hampshire.
