Job summary

Tesco Cafes are hiring a Team Member in the cafe to help with cooking, serving customers and keeping the area clean and safe. You’ll support high standards, follow hygiene rules, and assist with stock and daily operations while delivering great guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers flexible hours, progression opportunities, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week, with shifts scheduled 3 weeks in advance and options for flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our caf's delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
