Tesco Cafes in the United Kingdom welcomes you to join our team as a Team Member in the caf, where you’ll help with cooking, serving, and keeping spaces clean, while delivering friendly service and adhering to safety standards.

We offer flexible hours, opportunities for progression, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week; you’ll work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment with supportive colleagues and regular shifts.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
