Job summary

Tesco Café is hiring a Team Member to help with cooking, serving customers, and keeping the café area clean. You’ll contribute to great service while following safety standards, and you’ll support flexible working hours and career progression within Tesco Cafes.

The role emphasizes a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week and a welcoming, busy environment where teamwork and initiative are valued.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and keep records.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Prepare, cook and serve food according to the café menu.
• Ensure all food products are available and up to standard.
• Know the café menu inside out and serve as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the café clean.
