Job summary

Tesco Cafes is looking for a Team Member to join our busy caf, helping with cooking, serving customers, and keeping the dining area inviting. You’ll work with a friendly team to meet our menu standards, follow safety rules, and provide great service across shifts and windows.

The role offers flexible hours, progression opportunities, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours each week. Join us and help create a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and keep a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
