Job summary

Tesco Cafes is seeking a Team Member to join our café. You’ll help with cooking, serving customers, and keeping the area tidy while upholding safety standards. A lively, fast-paced environment with a friendly team awaits.

You’ll have flexible working hours, opportunities for progression, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week. Applicants must be 18 or over. We welcome diverse applicants and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our café's delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our caf's menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it’s intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our café stays clean.
