Job summary

Tesco Cafes in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Team Member to join our busy caf. You will help prepare and serve food, greet customers, and keep the kitchen and dining area clean in line with safety standards.

We offer flexible hours and opportunities for progression. A minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week is provided, with shifts scheduled three weeks in advance. You must be 18 or over to apply, and Tesco Cafes operate with a welcoming, team-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of and following all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
