Job summary

Tesco Cafés in the UK are hiring a Team Member to join our busy café team. You’ll mix cooking, serving customers, and keeping the café clean while delivering friendly, high‑quality service.

You’ll work flexible hours with at least 8 guaranteed hours each week; shifts are scheduled at least three weeks in advance, with opportunities for progression and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Rotate stock FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the menu.
• Ensure availability of food products and maintain standards.
• Know the café menu and serve items as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the café clean.
