Job summary

Tesco Cafes are recruiting a Team Member to join our busy cafe teams across the country. You’ll help with cooking, serving customers, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

We offer flexible hours, a supportive team, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours per week with shifts scheduled in advance. This role suits those who enjoy busy, people-facing work and being part of a community-focused retailer.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Rotate stock FIFO to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Prepare, cook and serve food according to the menu.
• Maintain cafe standards and ensure availability of products.
• Resolve customer concerns and inform the Café Manager.
