Job summary

Tesco Cafes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Team Member to join our cafe team. You will be involved in cooking, chatting with customers, and delivering a high standard of service while maintaining safety and cleanliness. This role offers a lively pace with opportunities for progression and flexible hours.

There is a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours each week. Shifts will be scheduled with three weeks’ notice, and we welcome flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations and keep records.
• Practise FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Receive deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook and serve food according to the menu.
• Ensure food products are available and standards are met.
• Know the cafe menu and serve food as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Caf Manager.
• Stay up-to-date with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the cafe clean.
