Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a friendly Team Member to join our Café. You’ll handle a mix of cooking, serving customers, and keeping the café tidy, while ensuring all food safety standards are met and daily records are kept.

It’s a lively, fast-paced role with flexible hours, progression opportunities, and a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours each week. You must be 18 or over to apply, work well in a team, and bring a positive, proactive attitude to every shift.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and keep environment clean.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain daily records.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook and serve food according to the café menu.
• Ensure food products are available and standards are met.
• Know the café menu inside out and serve it as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and inform the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the café clean.
