Job summary

Tesco Cafes is seeking a Team Leader to join our friendly, fast-paced cafe environment. You’ll support the Cafe Manager, coach and develop colleagues, and help drive great customer service and smooth daily operations.

You’ll lead by example, oversee opening/closing, and collaborate with your team to meet sales goals while ensuring food safety and safety standards. Flexible working and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Hospitality background with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards to ensure smooth service.
• Provide excellent customer experience and lead by example.
• Open and close the cafe and oversee operations in the Manager’s absence.
• Coach, develop, and train team members to improve performance.
• Recognise and celebrate staff for outstanding service.
• Help the team learn the menu and optimise staff placement to boost sales.
