Job summary

Tesco Cafés are seeking a Team Leader to join a busy, friendly, fast-paced environment. You will support the Manager, coach team members, and drive excellent customer service while maintaining safety standards. Flexible working is encouraged, and development opportunities are provided.

With responsibilities spanning opening/closing, leading service, and coaching staff, you will help ensure consistent performance and a positive guest experience across shifts.

Qualifications

• A background in hospitality, with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene regulations are followed.
• Lead by example, delivering excellent customer service.
• Open and close the cafe and oversee operations in the Manager's absence.
• Recognise and celebrate team members for service.
• Learn the menu and help the team do the same.
• Boost sales by optimal staffing and placement.
• Deliver Health & Safety and Food Safety training.
• Support Café Manager with coaching and development.
• Seek ways to improve customer service and inclusivity.
