Job summary

A social services provider in Liverpool is seeking a Family Court Adviser to assist families in court with child arrangements. Family Court Advisers are involved when families require court assistance to determine the best child arrangements. They work with children for assessment purposes, engaging directly with them to understand their views and wishes, and presenting these to the court through written reports, evidence, and advocacy. The role requires robust risk assessment and mediation skills.

What we’re looking for: Being a Family Court Adviser is rewarding but demanding.

You must be a Social Work England registered social worker who is organized, resilient, and capable of working independently. You should be confident in your abilities and have demonstrable experience working with children and families over a sustained period as a Social Worker. Relevant experience from earlier in your career may also be considered. Candidates must have experience in Section 7 – Private Law work.
