Profile

We are looking for a detail-focused CAD Designer with proven experience designing sheet metal parts, machined components, and electrical assemblies. Accuracy is essential—mistakes in drawings or data can create real downstream issues in manufacturing. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, agile team where your designs will have a tangible impact on production.

The Client

Our client is an innovative engineering company. They operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are building a dynamic team. The site is commutable from Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, Market Bosworth, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for sheet metal, machined parts, and cable assemblies.
• Manage engineering changes and ECR documentation.
• Maintain configuration management of 3D models and ERP data.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and range expansion projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical.

Experience Required

• Proven experience in sheet metal design within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong SolidWorks skills and familiarity with 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation.
• Understanding of how design decisions affect production, cost, and quality.
• Competent with Excel; experience with Epicor ERP or similar is desirable.
• Agile, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
