Job description

Are you an experienced Design Engineer who is a CAD Design Wizz? Have you experience in mining, shaft sinking, tunnelling, structural or heavy civils works?

I am delighted to be recruiting for an Engineer for my valued North Yorkshire based client. Please note this is a permanent role with a 6 month probation / contract review period.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements shaft sinking with mechanised SBR technology.
• To produce construction methods based on design.
• Candidate needs to have outstanding CAD experience and to be able to produce drawings and alterations etc to new and existing designs (to note the majority of the workload of this role is design based so must be a proficient design engineer).
• Develops solutions to engineering and other field related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.
• Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and requests for information.
• Maintain Project As-Built drawings.
• Ensures compliance with job specifications.
• Health and Safety: Having the authority and responsibility to stop and correct, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Safety supervisors.
• Responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment, i.e. Lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to company rules and applicable legislation. Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an Materials Data sheet.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ideally experienced using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.
• Strong and exceptional high level experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
• Experience using MS Project, P6 Primavera, MS Office, AutoCAD, 3D-Cad, Excel etc.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Data analytics skills and experience.
• The ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential.
• Must be physically fit and able to pass a safety critical medical and drugs and alcohol screening.

Job Details

Role is Mon - Friday 50 hours per week working either #removed# or 07:00 - 17:00. Salary is £58,630 per annum.
