Location: On-site / Hybrid

Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible shifts)

Salary: Up to £45,000 (Permanent)

Start: Urgent - immediate requirement

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAD/ CAM Programmer to join a busy and growing plastic packaging manufacturer supplying major UK retailers and global brands.

This is a critical hire to support the toolroom and design function, improve machine efficiency, and relieve pressure on the current design resource.

Key Responsibilities
  • CAM programming for production tooling
  • Creating and modifying tool paths
  • Supporting live manufacturing issues
  • Working closely with toolmakers and production
  • Supporting CAD/design using SolidWorks and Fusion 360
  • Assisting with improvement of machining efficiency
  • Supporting technical problem-solving on-site
  • Involvement in new tooling and product development projects
Key Requirements
  • Essential CAM programming experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years' industry experience
  • CAD experience using SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Toolroom or tooling background highly beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Happy to work primarily on-site (hybrid possible for strong CAM candidates)
