A dynamic events company in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled 3D CAD Operator to create detailed models and technical drawings for world-class events. The ideal candidate will excel in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, have strong spatial awareness, and possess exceptional attention to detail. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Salary: £24,000 to £32,000 per annum dependant on experience
Contract; Permanent, fulltime role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Location; Hybrid working- 3 days in the Farnborough office and 2 days from home (optional), where business need allows.
We are seeking a skilled 3D CAD Operator to join our dynamic events team. This role is pivotal in creating accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings to support the planning and delivery of our world-class events.
Working within the operations team, you will ensure that all event layouts, structures, and installations are precisely designed and meet client and operational requirements. You will assist in site mark out for temporary structures, temporary external overlay and aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in CAD software, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
They will have technical understanding of modern surveying practices as well as outstanding spatial awareness and an ability to recognise and work with site constraints. Experience in the events industry or large-scale exhibitions would be beneficial but is not essential.
The candidate is to provide the highest level of service to customers, suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of every interaction.
The role directly reports to the Head of Site Planning and Flight Operations.
We’re looking for someone with exceptional technical and creative skills to join our team.
You’ll be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or Revit, with a solid understanding of spatial planning and modern surveying practices.
Attention to detail and accuracy are key, as you’ll produce technical drawings to industry standards and interpret complex briefs into practical, compelling designs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines with the ability to adapt to adjust to new situations.
You are dependable and consistent in meeting deadlines and commitments.
Excellent IT skills—including Microsoft Office—are a must.
