Our client, a leading player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled C++ Software Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This is a contract role within a team dedicated to developing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and testing complex C++ business logic
• Collaborating with internal algorithm teams to implement code, execute algorithms, and verify implementations using a CI/CD approach
• Implementing interfaces to internal and external systems
• Extending existing software to create components for a virtual environment and supporting software deployment

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in C++ application development
• Solid background in software engineering and its system-wide impact
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Docker
• Experience in developing software for virtual environments
• Knowledge of safety and security-related development and standards (advantageous)
• Understanding of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is advantageous
