Job summary

A leading workforce solutions provider is seeking a Project Buyer for the ENI Liverpool Bay Project. The successful candidate will manage purchasing activities for direct and indirect goods and services, ensuring alignment with project needs. Requirements include proven buyer experience in the Oil & Gas sector, strong IT skills in SAP and MS365, and autonomy in managing procurement processes. This full-time contractor role will start in January 2026 in Kingston upon Thames for training, moving to Talacre in February 2026.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry as a Buyer.
  • Strong technical skills in purchasing strategy for goods and services.
  • IT skills required in SAP and MS365.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requisitions from section leads for goods and services.
  • Review PR for budget and technical needs consistency.
  • Prepare tender strategies and procurement process documents.
  • Liaise with vendors and the Kingston office regarding project needs.
  • Support vendors in preparing technical/commercial proposals.
  • Compare proposals and suggest actions for improved project outcomes.

Skills

Buyer

As the Project Buyer you will report to the Site Manager on a daily basis. You will be part of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage). You will be the focal point for all the buying activities of the project onsite (direct & indirect goods & services).

Responsibilities
  • Manage in autonomy the purchase requisitions received from the section lead for any goods and services.
  • Review the PR to ensure they are complete and consistent with the budget and technical needs of the project.
  • Prepare a tender strategy with proper documents to explain our procurement process to vendors with the relevant timelines and qualification information.
  • Liaise with bidders, inspectors, vendors and the Kingston office on a daily basis to ensure all the parties understood the needs and requests.
  • Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality.
  • Compare different proposals from vendors and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve project results.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience: Proven experience as Buyer or equivalent for both goods and services in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry.
  • Technical skills: Goods and services purchasing strategy.
  • IT skills: SAP, MS365.
