A local authority in Scotland is seeking a talented Destination Marketer to develop marketing plans promoting Glasgow as an international destination. This part-time, permanent role involves overseeing campaigns for both leisure and business events, ensuring integrated approaches to marketing and communications. The position also requires occasional overseas travel to support promotional efforts. Ideal candidates are experienced marketers with a passion for highlighting Glasgow's offerings.
Glasgow recently established a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) to serve as the city’s voice to the world. Called Destination Glasgow, the new unit sits within Economic Development, in the Chief Executive’s Department and this post reports to the Destination Lead.
We are looking for a talented Destination Marketer to focus on the development and delivery of Marketing and Communications plans for the promotion of Glasgow as an international leisure and business event destination across both B2C and B2B (Conventions and Travel Trade).
This role is offered as a job share with an existing post holder. Together, you will oversee the development of international market plans, ensuring an integrated approach to marketing, communications and digital activity. You will also support activity such as Fam trips and Business Development missions to promote Glasgow and drive overnight visits through leisure and business events.
This role is part time and permanent and involves occasional overseas travel.
